Kayli Dings qualifies for PIAA Individual Championships
North Allegheny’s Kayli Dings, Kirsten Karlovits and Taylor Rittler went to Sewickley Heights Golf Club to take part in the final round of the WPIAL Individual Championships. With the top seven golfers qualifying, Dings got the seventh and final spot to punch her ticket to Penn State and the PIAA Individual Championships.
Dings finished tied for seventh-place with Upper St. Clair’s Olivia Ziegler forcing a playoff. Both golfers par’d #1 at Sewickley Heights before Dings birdied the second hole to claim the seventh and final spot.
Karlovits finished the tournament tied for 20th place while Rittler ended up tied for 27th.

Dings advances to the PIAA Individual Championships which will take place at Penn State Golf Course on October 20 and 21. The Tigers as a team will be back in action at the WPIAL Team Championships at Cedarbrook Golf Club on Thursday, October 9. Tee times will begin at 10 a.m.
