Kayli Dings selected to compete at the PIAA Championships as “At-Large” Selection
North Allegheny junior Kayli Dings thought her season was over after the WPIAL Individual Championships when she came in eighth place and the top seven qualify for the PIAA Individual Championships.
In all district championships, a qualifier must score 100 or less to advance to the PIAA Golf Championship. In the event a District or Region does not advance a golfer to the Championships, there is a formula used to select the next deserving golfer. Dings was selected as the next deserving individual and will compete in the final event.
Dings will compete in the PIAA Individual Championships on Monday and Tuesday at Penn State Golf Course. Tee times have yet to be announced.
