Lady Tigers Golf Tops Mars
The North Allegheny Girls Golf Team opened head-to-head play on Tuesday afternoon with a 192-227 victory over the Mars Planets at Shannopin Country Club. The Lady Tigers were paced by sophomore Megan Leto who shot a 46 to lead all golfers on the day. Senior Kelsey Phillips followed closely behind with a 47 and senior Molly Durham shot a 48. Sophomore Sophia Lee added a 51 for the Lady Tigers. For Mars, Bridget Marteal was the top golfer, leading the planets with a 49.
With the win, North Allegheny starts the season with a 1-0 mark and will visit Mt. Lebanon today in another non-section affair. Tee-time is slated for 3:30 pm.
