Lady Tigers Win 5th Straight, Top Mars, 168-204
The North Allegheny girls’ golf team won its fifth in a row on Thursday afternoon with a 168-204 win over Mars in section play.
The Tigers were sharp from the start and were led by freshman Katie Rose Rankin’s low score of 37. Fresh off her strong performance at the WPIAL qualifier earlier in the week, senior Bella Walter shot a 39. Senior Christina Zhou chipped in with a 45, followed by senior Esha Vaidya with a 47. Mars was paced by Victoria Witouski’s 39.
With the win, North Allegheny leaps to 10-3 overall and 6-2 in the section. The Tigers will visit Blackhawk on Monday.
