Lady Tigers Win Fifth Straight
The North Allegheny girls’ golf team posted another convincing victory on Tuesday afternoon with a 158-196 triumph over the Shaler Titans. The Lady Tigers were led by senior Megan Leto’s 37. Freshman Caroline Wrigley followed with a 39, while fellow freshman Christina Lewis checked in with a 40. Seniors Jesse Pak and Sophia Lee shot a 42, and junior Jessica Hood tallied a 43. Tuesday’s match marked the first time all season that golfers one through 6 were all under 45. For Shaler, the Titans were led by Natalie Abt who finished with a 44.
North Allegheny sits at 5-0 and 2-0 in section play following the victory. The Lady Tigers will host Shady Side Academy on Friday afternoon in a section showdown. Tee time is set for 3:30 pm.
