
Lowest Score In 4 Years Leads NA Past Blackhawk, 149-183
In a tremendous performance on Tuesday afternoon, the North Allegheny girls’ golf team defeated Blackhawk in section play, 149-183, at Black Hawk Golf Course. It was the lowest score posted by the Tigers in four years, since a 148-162 victory in 2018 against Ambridge.
Senior Katie Rose Rankin set the tone for an outstanding performance with a 2-under par 34. Senior Lauren Kardos carded a 1-under par 35, while junior Megan Manesiotis tallied a 1-over par 37. Freshman Kayla Dings added a 43 to round out the scoring for the Tigers. Blackhawk was led by Vanessa Matthew’s 38.
North Allegheny improves to 10-1 overall and 4-1 in section play. The Tigers will host Shady Side Academy on Wednesday in a non-section contest.
