NA Bowlers Vie For WPIBL Title
The North Allegheny bowling teams concluded the regular season last Wednesday with a split against Avonworth. The NA Boys earned a 7-0 victory but the Lady Tigers dropped a 5-2 decision. The NA Boys finish the regular season as the WPIBL Section 7 champions with a perfect 8-0 record. The Lady Tigers finish in second place in Section 7 behind Avonworth with a 6-2 mark.
Both NA teams will take part in the WPIBL Bowling championships this week. The NA Boys are in action tomorrow at Great Valley Lanes and the Lady Tigers will play on Thursday at Simms. The Regional Tournaments will be held on March 13 and 14.
There are six Tigers who have qualified for the Regional Singles Tournament. For the boys, Steve Warych, Ryan McGurgan, Jorden Mangione and Rob Thieret will represent North Allegheny.
