NA Continues Winning Streak With Victory Over Sewickley Academy
The North Allegheny girls’ golf team had the opportunity to play Sewickley Academy at the historic Allegheny Country Club on Tuesday afternoon and claimed a 167-187 victory. The course was designed by Donald Ross and has recently been worked on by Gil Hanse, the architect of the course that the Olympics were played on.
The Tigers were challenged by the fast and undulating course but they were up to the task. Junior Caroline Wrigley topped the Tigers with a team-best score of 39. Junior Christina Lewis shot a 40, followed by Esha Vaidya who checked in with a 41. Bella Walter shot a 47 and Jordan Farrell posted a 48. Sewickley Academy was led by Tatum McKelvy’s 39.
North Allegheny improves to 17-0 with the non-section win. The Tigers visit Penn-Trafford on Wednesday.
