NA Girls’ Golf Swings Past Pine-Richland, 158-167
The North Allegheny girls’ golf team added another win to its total this season with a 158-167 victory over a much-improved Pine-Richland team. Sophomore Christina Lewis led the way with an even-par 36. Sophomore Caroline Wrigley checked in with a 37, followed by Kennedy Urban’s 39. Jordan Farrell added a 42. Pine-Richland’s Lauren Fryvogel had the individual top score with an impressive 33.
On Thursday, the Lady Tigers will clash with the rival Peters Township girls at North Park at 2:30 p.m. This could be a match that determines the top contenders for the section title in Section 4-AAA and Section 2-AAA. This heated, but friendly, rivalry was decided by four strokes in two meetings last year.
