The Lady Tigers capped off their regular season with a strong, 60-0 victory over the Lady Hurricanes, finishing with a 14-1 record and securing second place in Section 1.
Senior Luci Zagacki led the Tigers with an outstanding performance on both sides of the ball, recording two interceptions—including a pick-six—along with two sacks, two touchdowns, and an extra-point conversion.
The offensive attack was highly efficient, with quarterbacks Macy Sundgren, Sloane Baker, and Natalie Smalley sharing the workload and connecting with multiple receivers for touchdowns.
Sundgren also contributed an extra point, while the underclassmen delivered impressive performances: freshman Lexi Momper caught two touchdowns, freshman Alexa Pealer rushed for two touchdowns, and both sophomore Brynn Hughey and freshman Kendall McCusker added a touchdown and an extra-point conversion each. Freshman Kara Fischer rounded out the scoring with another extra point.
The Tigers will host Kiski Area at Newman Stadium on Tuesday, May 5, at 6:30 p.m. in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs.
