Olivia Kraus Wins 2 PAC Individual Titles at Allegheny College
Allegheny College junior Olivia Kraus (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) captured her second title of the 2023 Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships, winning the 100 freestyle championship on the final day of the championship event Saturday (Feb. 18).
Kraus earned the top-seed in the 100 freestyle championship final with a time of 52.31. In the championship final, Kraus clocked in at 52.43, a half a second ahead of the runner-up, to capture her second title, and the team’s third title of the event.
Earlier in the week, Krause captured the PAC 50 freestyle championship. Kraus had the fastest time in the prelims of the 50 freestyle with a time of 23.79, the only sub 24 second time. Her time of 23.90 in the finals won by a .4 second margin. This marks the first individual swimming and diving championship won by a Gator in the PAC since rejoining the conference this year.
