PIHL 2024 Girls Division Information & Registration Link
The PIHL is pleased to announce that preliminary planning has started for the 2024 Girls Division.
Eligibility: Girls must be enrolled in Grades 9-12 during the 2023-2024 academic school year. PIHL rules and USA Hockey rules and guidelines for participation in Varsity High School hockey will be adhered to. Players must also adhere to their respective schools’ requirements for participation in extracurricular activities/athletic teams (physicals, GPA, approval from athletic department, etc.). Prior playing experience is recommended. Uniforms: The PIHL will provide each player with a game jersey and one pair of socks (included in the player fee). Tentatively, players will be permitted to wear their own pants/shell, helmet, and gloves.Season: Tentatively, practices and regular season games will begin in mid-April and conclude with the PIHL Girls Division playoffs and Championship game in late May/early June 2024.Coaches: Head coaches and assistant coaches shall meet all PIHL and USA Hockey requirements for coaching accreditation and background checks.Team Composition: Teams will be formed based upon school districts, geographical locations, and player experience/skill level as much as possible and practicable. Girls that attend the same school shall be assigned to the same team. Registration and Cost: The PIHL will be utilizing the online StatZone registration site again this year, which can be found by clicking here. A refundable $100.00 deposit will be required at the time of registration. The total amount of the player fee will be determined prior to the registration opening date (tentatively set for mid to late February).
