Record Breaking Performance By NA In Season Opener

The North Allegheny indoor track and field team opened the 2024 season at TSTCA Meet #1 at Edbinboro University with a record breaking performance. Sophomore Mackenzie Winning, sophomore Maya Currie, junior Isabella Costa and junior Kendall Lucas set a new school record in the indoor 4×400 Relay with a time of 4:08.83.

The new record in the 4×400 was one of four gold medal performances by the Tigers on the day. For the NA Girls, Costa took first place in the 200m Dash and Winning placed first in the 400m Dash. The NA Boys saw junior Nicholas Humphries take home a gold medal in the Long Jump.

Other Lady Tigers finishing in the top three included Lindsey Breneman and Sophie Aglietti who placed second and third, respectively, in the Pole Vault. The NA Boys had a silver medal performance from Zach Duckworth in the Pole Vault. A third-place showing in the 4×400 Relay was delivered by the quartet of Jack Davis, Ryan Mahoney, Grey Lowman and Nicholai Yatchenko.
