Tigers blank North Hills & Hampton to open the season
North Allegheny’s defense got off to a great start in the 2025 season posting two shutouts on a rainy Sunday afternoon against North Hills and Hampton at Newman Stadium.
In game one, the Tigers defeated North Hills 14-0. Mia Bosley and Luci Zagacki each found the end zone followed by a Leah Skweres two-point conversion.
In the second contest, NA took down the Talbots of Hampton by a 12-0 score. Quarterback Taryn DeWitt completed six passes including two for touchdowns to Maddie Williams and Zagacki. Vange Balouris and Danika Hogan each had five tackles to lead the defense.
North Allegheny starts the season with a 2-0 record. The Tigers return to action next Sunday when they travel to New Castle High School to take on the Red Hurricanes and the Shaler Titans at noon and 1 p.m.
