Tigers Earn Senior Night Victory Over Mars, 178-231
The North Allegheny girls’ golf team extended its winning streak to 10 in a row on Tuesday with 178-231 victory over the Mars Planets.
On a damp afternoon at Diamond Run Golf Course, sophomore Megan Manesiotis and junior Katie Rose Rankin led the way by each posting a low score of 41. Senior Sissi Hai shot a 47, followed by junior Lauren Kardos, who carded a 49 to cap the scoring. Mars was paced by Danielle Sticinski’s 53.
Tuesday also marked senior night for the Tigers as Hai and fellow senior Jena Norman were recognized at the section match.
Having already locked up the section crown, North Allegheny leaps to 13-1 overall and 9-0 in section play following the win. The Tigers will visit Pine-Richland on Wednesday at Conley’s Golf Course.
