Tigers Sweep Tri-Match With Fox Chapel, Sewickley Academy
In a tri-match at Pittsburgh North Golf Course, the North Allegheny girls’ golf team took on and defeated both Sewickley Academy and Fox Chapel on Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Tigers shot a 167 to remain undefeated on the season, doing so without one of their leading golfers, Christina Lewis, who is out with an injury. Sewickley Academy came in second place with a score of 192 and Fox Chapel shot a 195.
Leading the Lady Tigers was senior Caroline Wrigley and junior Bella Walter who each shot a 37. Christina Zhou carded a 46, followed by Esha Vaidya’s 47. Sewickley Academy was paced by Tatem McKelvy with a match-low score of 35. Fox Chapel was led by Erin Drahnak with a 39.
North Allegheny improves to 9-0 on the season and will host Penn-Trafford on Wednesday afternoon in non-section play.
