Laura Ryder Named PAC Hitter of the Week

W&J senior and former North Allegheny softball player, Laura Ryder, was recognized on Monday as the Presidents’ Athletic Conference’s Hitter of the Week.

Ryder put together a big day at the plate in the Presidents’ season-opening sweep of Penn St. Greater Allegheny. The senior went 4-for-5 with four RBIs, four runs scored and a pair of doubles. Ryder smacked a pair of two-run doubles in a 12-1 game one victory. She compiled a 1.200 slugging percentage and reached base at a .800 clip.

Ryder was senior for North Allegheny in 2016 and part of a team that went 19-4 and reached the WPIAL semifinals.
