Tigers keep win streak going with sweep of Hampton
North Allegheny traveled to Hampton High School to take on the Talbots in a non-section matchup on Friday afternoon. The Tigers ran their win streak up to 13 matches as they defeated Hampton, 5-0.
Samantha Leeman defeated Lola Pikalo at #1 singles by a score of 6-2, 6-0. It was a clean sweep for Alexa Richey as she took down Olivia Hays-Regan 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles, Ella Mangene and Remi Hayward defeated the Talbots #1 doubles team in a three-set thriller by scores of 6-2, 5-7, 10-6 while Cynthia Li and Medha Thirumala made quick work of Hampton’s #2 doubles team 6-2, 6-0.
North Allegheny improves to 13-2 overall. Hampton falls to 6-7. The Tigers are back in action on Monday when they host Shady Side Academy in their penultimate regular season match at 3:30 p.m.
