The North Allegheny Inline Tigers are back in the win column with a 6-5 victory over the West Allegheny Indians on Sunday at the RMU Island Sports Center.

In the first period, the Tigers scored first by an unassisted goal from junior Christian Mark. The Indians would not back down easy though scoring a quick goal of their own to tie the game at 1 goal each. The remainder of the period showed strong defense from both sides ending the frame at 1-1.

The second period had the Indians scoring a shorthanded goal to take back the lead. The Tigers would eventually cash in on the power play with another goal by Mark assisted by junior Liam Huey. The back and forth continued with the Indians scoring the next goal and retaking the lead. The Tigers would not let up with Mark scoring his third of the game, assisted by senior Stefan Craig. Craig would then join in the scoring for the Tigers to end the second period with a Tiger lead of 4-3.

North Allegheny would keep on their foot on the gas initiating scoring in the third period with a backhand goal from Craig, assisted by Mark. The Tigers continued the offensive barrage on a two on none breakaway by sophomore Adam Cameron, assisted by Huey. With more than half the period remaining, the Indians scored two goals of their own making it a one-goal game, but it was the Tigers prevailing as time expired notching the win by a score of 6-5.

Senior goalie Claudia Kushon earns the win as the Tigers improve their record to 4-4. The Tigers will resume play next Sunday at 10:00 AM against the Hampton Talbots at the RMU Island Sports Center.
