Carly O’Connell was the top NA finisher coming in second place.

O’Connell pinned her first three opponents, all in the first period, before a 7-3 decision victory over Laney Kilgore of Sharpsville in the semifinals. In the 118-pound final, O’Connell dropped a heartbreaking 1-0 decision to Ringgold’s Mia Scalise to take home the silver medal.

Alex Gosnell was a third-place finisher over the weekend.

Receiving a bye, Gosnell won her first two matches by fall before losing a 5-3 decision to Zahara Al-Zamly of Fort LeBoeuf in the semifinals. Gosnell bounced back to pin Northampton’s Kiera Rickard in the Consolation Semifinals. In the third-place match, Gosnell made quick work of Monica Osborne from Butler to claim the bronze medal.

Tapanga Bornt and Heidi Radford each finished in fifth place.

Bornt won by pin in her first two matches before falling to Trinity Moore of Connellsville in the semifinals. After dropping a 2-0 decision to Pine-Richland’s Aeriella Ryer in the Consolation Semifinals, Bornt bounced back to pin Zoey Yohe of Penn Manor in the fifth-place match.

Radford won her opening match before dropping her match to Peters Township’s Liliana Giulianelli in the quarterfinals. Radford won her next two matches before falling to Charlotte Padalin of Shaler in the Consolation Semifinals. Radford bounced back to defeat Ravyn Cameron-Botti of Connellsville in the fifth-place match.

Sally Horton ended the weekend in sixth place.

Horton won her first three matches, all by fall, before dropping her semifinal match to Plum’s Saphia Davis. Horton would fall in the Consolation Semifinals and the fifth-place match to finish the tournament in sixth.
