Tigers take Game 1 of Class B Final

The NA Inline Tigers won game one of the HS1B three-game final series against the Shaler Titans by a score of 6-3 on Sunday at the RMU Island Sports Center.
In the first period, it was the Titans opening the frame notching the first two goals as the Tigers followed up with a shorthanded goal from junior Christian Mark assisted by senior Stefan Craig to close out the period with a Titan 2-1 lead.
In the second period, once again, the Titans opened the scoring, taking a 3-1 lead. The Tigers notched the next two goals, one by senior Matthew Noffsinger assisted by Mark and the tying goal by freshman Nicholas Cook again assisted by Mark ending the period at 3-3.
In the third period, the Tigers held the Titans scoreless while continuing the offensive surge. The first goal of the period was a power play goal from Noffsinger assisted by sophomore Travis Herm followed by an unassisted goal from junior Marcus Garcia. Following a Titan penalty, the Tigers notched one final power play goal from Mark assisted by Noffsinger ending the game with a Tiger 6-3 win.
Senior goalie Claudia Kushon earns the win as the Tigers record improves to 9-10-1. The Tigers will play game two of the HS1B three-game series finals against the Shaler Titans on Saturday at 9:00 AM at the RMU Island Sports Center.
