Tigers win second straight Class B Title

The NA Inline Tigers were canceled on Saturday due to poor rink conditions from high humidity and resumed play on Sunday for game two of the three game series against the Shaler Titans. The Tigers came away with a 7-5 win to claim the HS1B title for the second consecutive year.
In the first period, the Titans recorded the first goal of the game, but the Tigers responded with a goal from senior Matthew Noffsinger assisted by junior Christian Mark and a second from junior Liam Huey assisted by Noffsinger to close out the frame with a 2-1 Tiger lead.
In the second period, the Tigers continued offensively with an unassisted goal from junior Marcus Garcia followed by a power play wrap around goal from senior Stefan Craig assisted by Garcia. One final NA goal for the period came from Huey assisted by Craig. The Titans managed one goal for the frame ending the period with the Tigers maintaining a 5-2 advantage.
The Tigers opened the third period with a power play goal from a deflection by Craig assisted by Garcia. The Titans would continue to stand strong notching the next two goals closing the gap to 6-4, but freshman Nicholas Cook helped keep the Tiger lead claiming a late goal, assisted by sophomore Adam Cameron. The Titans managed one final goal to end the game with a Tiger 7-5 HS1B championship win.
Senior goalie Claudia Kushon earns the win as the Tigers end the season with a 10-10-1 record and the HS1B Championship Title.
