Two Boats Make Showing At Scholastic Nationals
The Tigers placed 2 bids to Scholastic Nationals in Pennsauken NJ this year after strong racing seasons. The Tigers were seeded 11th & 12th, with placements in Lane 5 for both crews.
The Women’s Varsity line up of Alexandra Witzel, Kathy Zema, Sawyer Wright, and Lorelei Schrieber placed 4th in Heat 1, missing out on advancing to the final by 2 places, the first-place crew would go on to secure 3rd in the grand final.
The Men’s Junior 4x lineup of Miles Rees, Carson Carona, Anthony Bertucci, and Layton Wright placed 5th in their heat missing out on semi-finals by 2 places. The first-place crew in their heat would go on to place 2nd in the grand final.
This race wraps Senior Co- Captains, Sawyer Wright & Lorelei Schreiber’s careers as NA Tigers. Both have been integral members of the team and top line-ups for 4 years and their contributions will be dearly missed next season.
