Ashley Huang Advances To PIAA Semifinals
WPIAL Class AAA singles champion Ashley Huang began her quest toward a state title with a pair of wins on Friday at the Hershey Racquet Club.
Huang opened the PIAA Class AAA singles tournament with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep over Sarah Capoferri of Lampeter-Strasburg. Capoferri was the third-place finisher out of District 3.
In the quarterfinals, it was another straight set victory as Huang defeated Jordan Bradley of Downingtown West by a 6-1, 6-2 decision. Bradley was the third-place finisher out of District 1.
Huang will continue her trek through the PIAA bracket on Saturday at 10:30 am with a semifinal matchup with Amelia Honer of Council Rock North. For a look at the Class AAA singles bracket, click here.
