Girls Tennis picks up second straight sweep defeating Montour
North Allegheny went on the road to Montour High School to take on the Spartans in a Section 2-3A contest. For the second straight day, and the third time in four matches, the Tigers picked up a 5-0 victory. The win was NA’s fifth in a row.
Mia Kaufman defeated Raven Karlik in #1 singles by a score of 6-1, 6-3. Samantha Leeman won her match at #2 singles against Lauren Cox 6-0, 6-2, while Alexa Richey took her match by scores of 6-2, 6-3 over Ahlaya Sansom.
The doubles teams breezed to two victories as Audrey Zheng and Rouxi Bai won #1 doubles 6-1, 6-0 and Ella Mangene and Remi Hayward took their doubles match by scores of 6-1, 6-1.
After starting 0-2, North Allegheny is now 5-2 overall and 2-0 in the section. Montour falls to 2-2 overall and 1-2 in section play. The Tigers return to action next week when they host the Mars Fighting Planets on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
