Golden Tornado Hand Tigers First Loss Of Season

The NA Inline Tigers suffered their first loss of the season to the Butler Golden Tornado 8-1 at the RMU Island Sports Center on Sunday.

In the first period, the Tornado took advantage of a Tiger penalty to open the scoring, and followed up with a shorthanded goal to take a 2-0 lead.

The second period, unfortunately, saw much of the same. The Tornado added three additional goals while holding the Tigers at bay, ending the frame with a 5-0 lead.

The Tornado posted three markers in the third period while the Tigers notched their lone goal of the game from junior Liam Huey off a rebound, ending the game with a score of 8-1.

Junior Goalie Conner Greenberg suffered the loss as the Tigers fell to 1-1. NA will resume play next Sunday at 10:00 AM against the Penn-Trafford Warriors at the RMU Island Sports Center.
