Mia Kaufman and Audrey Zheng came in third place at the Section Doubles tournament, punching their ticket to WPIAL Doubles. Kaitlyn Zeman and Cynthia Li also competed in the tournament and got to the quarterfinals, just one round short of also qualifying.

Kaufman and Zheng entered the tournament as the No. 3 seed. They would make quick work of 14th-seeded Sajal Shetty and Brooke Altmeyer of Moon by a score of 10-1 in the first round before defeating No. 11 Deeya Nayyar and Priya Shah of Pine-Richland by the same score in the quarterfinals. Kaufman and Zheng would fall to second-seeded Elinor Kim and Adelaide Seigworth of North Hills in the semifinals before bouncing back to defeat sisters Kiera and Evelyn Wise of Moon in the third-place match. With the top four finishers qualifying for WPIAL Doubles, Kaufman and Zheng achieved that.

Zeman and Li came into Section Doubles as the No. 9 seed and would dominate Alaina Brody and Gianna Guandolo of Seneca Valley by a score of 10-1. Zeman and Li gave the top-seed and eventual champion of Cassandra Lapina and Sonaya Arora of Pine-Richland everything they could handle, but ultimately fell 10-8.

Kaufman and Zheng will compete in the WPIAL Doubles tournament on Wednesday at Bethel Park High School. The Tigers as a team return to action on Monday when they host Shady Side Academy in a non-section contest at 3:30 p.m.
