NA defeats Upper St Clair, 3-2
North Allegheny traveled to Upper St. Clair on Tuesday afternoon to take on the Panthers in a non-section showdown. It was another close battle for the Tigers, but they came out on top with the 3-2 victory.
Samantha Leeman dropped the first set but battled back to win her match over Catalina Ramirez 5-7, 6-3, 6-1 in #2 singles.
It was the NA doubles teams that made the difference again as Audrey Zheng and Rouxi Bai lost the first set on tiebreaks, came back to win the second set on tiebreaks before rolling in the third set. Ella Mangene and Remi Hayward picked up the sweep in #2 doubles.
North Allegheny improves to 3-2 overall. Upper St. Clair falls to 2-2. The Tigers are back in action tomorrow when they open section play against Moon at the North Allegheny High School courts. The match will begin at 3:15 p.m.
