The NA Inline Tigers dropped the first game of a three-game championship series to the Upper St. Clair Panthers on Sunday at the RMU Island Sports Center by a score of 6-4.

In a strong defensive effort by both sides, scoring in the first period was limited to just one unassisted power play goal by the Tigers’ senior Aidan Anthony.

In the second period, the Panthers notched a power play goal to tie it at 1-1, but the Tigers responded with a power play goal from junior Steven Cameron as well as a goal by Anthony to close out the second with the Tigers up 3-1.

The third period saw the Panther’s offense come alive scoring five goals as the Tiger’s senior Logan Cerqua managed one additional goal for the day, unfortunately coming up short ending game one with a final score of 6-4.

Sophomore goalie Claudia Kushon suffers the loss.  The Tigers will have an opportunity to tie up the three-game series against the Panthers on Saturday at 6:00 at the RMU Island Sports Center.
