
NA falls in overtime against Penn-Trafford

The NA Inline team dropped an overtime contest to the Penn-Trafford Warriors by a score of 6-5 on Sunday at the RMU Island Sports Center.
The Warriors struck first shortly into the first frame, but the Tigers answered back with a quick goal from senior Ethan Zadnik off a timely steal in the Warrior end. The Warriors continued the offensive drive with two more goals to end the period with the Tigers trailing 3-1.
The second period saw limited scoring as the Tigers notched a power play goal from Zadnik assisted by sophomore Christian Mark.
It was the Warriors initiating the scoring for the third period increasing their lead to two. The Tigers once again answered with a power play rebound goal from Zadnik assisted by junior Matthew Noffsinger cutting the deficit. The Warriors took advantage of a Tiger penalty scoring a power play goal maintaining their lead at 5-3. With less than three minutes remaining in the game, it was Mark answering the call with an unassisted goal cutting the Warrior lead to one. After trailing the entire game, the Tigers managed to tie the game at five all with a goal from Zadnik, his fourth of the game, assisted by Mark to take the contest to overtime.
Unfortunately, after a hard-fought battle, the Warriors prevailed in the overtime edging the Tigers 6-5.
Junior goalie Claudia Kushon suffers the loss as the Tigers record falls to 9-7. The Tigers resume play next Sunday against the Norwin Knights at 10:00 AM at the RMU Island Sports Center.
