NA Inline Forces Decisive Game of PIRHL Semifinal Series

The North Allegheny inline hockey team forced a decisive third game in its PIRHL semifinals series with Canon-McMillan, claiming a 7-4 victory over the Big Macs in game two on Saturday night. Junior Tyler Putnam led the charge for the Tigers, scoring five goals in the victory.

Putnam tallied NA’s first four goals of the night as the Tigers raced to a 4-1 lead after two periods. From that point on, North Allegheny and Canon-McMillan traded goals in the final period as the Tigers held on for the win.

Justin Symons netted two goals for North Allegheny and Putnam added one more in the final stanza to help close out the victory. Canon-McMillan’s Thomas Zulkowski posted a hat trick in a losing effort for the Big Macs.

The win forces a decisive third game of the PIRHL semifinals on Sunday. The opening faceoff is slated for 4:00 p.m.
