NA Middle School Cheer – Makeup Tryout (May 22)

NA Cheer will be holding a makeup tryout for rising 7th and 8th graders on Wednesday, May 22nd at NAI. Athletes should arrive between 3-3:30 p.m. to warm up, then will judge the tryout.

Athletes are not allowed to tryout if they do not turn in a signed policy agreement found on the last page of the handbook. This must be turned in at the tryout on Wednesday, May 22nd. Material below is to be learned on your own prior to Tryouts and what we will be judging. We will also judge any tumbling (starting at a minium of a backhandspring) and a toe touch, and double toe touch.

  • Cheer: Replace the colors with ‘Black and GoldReplace the Letters with ‘N (pause) A’  – FrontTeachBack

  • Chant – Replace ‘Cats’ with ‘Tigers’, ‘Central’ with ‘NA’: Front

  • Dance: FrontTeachBack

  • Fight Song: Slow with counts and full speed video attached.

Apparel for tryouts – No compression shorts / Nike Pros allowed or skinny tank tops or crop tops. Any NA color tops (Black, Gold, White) and bottom can be worn for tryout practice, official tryout day (Tuesday 4/9) all athletes must be in a white bow with hair pulled back clean, white tshirt, black shorts, white socks, and athletic shoes.

After athletes tryout, they will wait outside for their tryout envelope to see if the have made the team. Please leave campus before opening your envelope.

What to bring to tryouts – Signed Policy form, Water and a good attitude!
