NA rolls to sweep of Mars
North Allegheny hosted the Mars Fighting Planets at the North Allegheny High School tennis courts on Tuesday afternoon in a section matchup. For the third consecutive match, the Tigers won all five matches to pick up the 5-0 win.
Mia Kaufman and Alexa Richey both won their singles matches by scores of 6-2, 6-0. Sam Leeman won in #2 singles over Gracie McCarty, 6-0, 6-1.
The doubles teams both won with Audrey Zheng and Rouxi Bai at #1 doubles winning 6-1, 6-0 while Ella Mangene and Remi Hayward defeated their #2 doubles opponent 6-2, 6-0.
North Allegheny improves to 6-2 overall and 3-0 in section play. Mars falls to 4-4 overall and 1-3 in the section. The Tigers return to action on Thursday when they travel to Butler High School to take on the Golden Tornado at 3:30 p.m.
