NA Sweeps Twin Bill Against Central Catholic, Penn-Trafford

The NA Inline Tigers were back in action following the holiday break with two games at the RMU Island Sports Center on Sunday.  They opened the day with an 8-2 win against the Central Catholic Vikings and followed up with a decisive 7-3 win against the Penn-Trafford Warriors.

In the first game the Tigers saw six different players reach the score column against the Vikings.  Leading the way for the Tigers was sophomore Matthew Noffsinger with three goals on the day, followed by goals each from senior Jacob Rice, junior Steven Cameron, senior Aiden Noffsinger, senior Logan Cerqua, and senior Tristan Soose.  The Tigers held the Vikings to just two goals ending with an 8-2 victory.  Sophomore goalie Claudia Kushon earned the win as the Tigers improve their record to 12-1.

The second game saw the Tigers continue their offensive threat against a feisty Penn Trafford Warrior team.  The first period was an even match with the Tigers’ senior Aiden Noffsinger and Cerqua opening the scoring as the Warriors managed two goals ending the frame at 2-2.  The Tigers took control of the game in the second period as Soose notched two goals, Aiden Noffsinger added a second goal to his tally and senior Declan Dadey scored as well, while holding the Warriors at bay ending the second period with the Tigers leading 6-2.  The third period saw Soose complete the hat trick on the day and the Warriors added one additional goal.

The Tigers finished with a 7-3 victory as sophomore goalie Claudia Kushon earnsed her second win and the Tigers improve their record to 13-1.  The Tigers will resume play next Sunday at 1:00 against the Pine Richland Rams at the RMU Island Sports Center.
