NA Tennis Bounces Butler, 5-0
The North Allegheny girls’ tennis team breezed to a 5-0 sweep over the Butler Golden Tornado on Tuesday afternoon in section play.
Freshman Nora Catanzarite won every point in her match up with Levi Chappal at No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win. Senior Ella Sinciline was nearly perfect in a 6-1, 6-0, victory over Jillian Clark. Junior Jenny Zhu chipped in with a 6-2, 6-0 triumph against Mikayla Turner at No. 3 singles.
In doubles action, Claire Shao and Emily Wincko grabbed a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles. Ashley Chung and Abbey Swirsding won every point at No. 2 doubles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
North Allegheny improves to 11-2 overall and 6-0 in the section.
