After a two-week hiatus the North Allegheny Tigers picked up right where they left off with a 7-2 win over the Seneca Valley Raiders Sunday at the RMU Island Sports Center.

With the two-week break both teams came out slow in the first period. But it was the Tigers who struck first with rebound goal from senior Jacob Rice, assisted by senior Tristan Soose. The Tigers continued to attack the Raiders on offense notching another goal from senior Logan Cerqua, assisted by senior Aidan Anthony. North Allegheny lead Seneca Valley 2-0 at the end of the first period.

The second period saw much of the same with both teams starting slow again. But it was the Tigers who hit the scoreboard first once again with a one timer power play goal from senior Declan Dadey assisted from Cerqua. The Raiders would not back down by scoring a goal late in the second period before time ran out ending the second period with a score of 3-1.

The third period saw the Raiders striking first cutting the Tiger lead to one. NA put their foot on the gas attacking the offensive zone with authority. Junior Steven Cameron brought the lead back up to two with a tip-in from Rice.  Following the center face off sophomore Matthew Noffsinger took it himself with a much-needed goal for the Tigers. With the Tigers up 5-2, senior Mitchell Ludwick added more insurance with a tip in goal of his own assisted by Dadey. Finishing out the scoring for the Tigers was a goal from Cerqua assisted by Anthony.

Sophomore goalie Claudia Kushon earned the win as the Tigers improve their record to 10-1. The Tigers will resume play on Sunday Dec. 10 against the Shaler Titans at 2:00 at the RMU Island Sports Center.
