The NA Inline season came to a close on Saturday as the Upper St. Clair Panthers upended the Tigers by a score of 4-3 at the RMU Island Sports Center in game two of the PIRHL championship series.

It seemed to be anyone’s game from the beginning.  The Panthers opened the scoring with a quick goal to start the period. The Tigers had an answer of their own with a power play goal from senior Aiden Noffsinger. With a fast pace play it was the Tigers who struck again with an unassisted goal from sophomore Matthew Noffsinger. The Panthers would not let up, scoring a goal as well to close out the period with a tie of 2-2.

The back-and-forth style continued into the second period as both teams exchanged goals.  The Tigers scored first on a power play goal from Aiden Noffsinger, assisted by senior Jacob Rice for a 3-2 lead. The Panthers managed a goal of their own towards the end of the period to once again tie the game, ending the frame with a score of 3-3.

With the game deadlocked in the third and both sides holding strong, it was the Panthers who prevailed with a power play goal to take the lead for the last and final time, ending the game with a score of 4-3.

Sophomore goalie Claudia Kushon suffers the loss as the Tigers end the season with an overall record of 17-4.  Congratulations to the coaches and players another exciting and memorable season.
