NA’s win streak ends at 13 with loss to Shady Side Academy
North Allegheny hosted Shady Side Academy on Monday afternoon at the North Allegheny High School tennis courts. The Tigers had a 13-match winning streak coming in, but fell to the Bulldogs in a thrilling 3-2 non-section match.
Alexa Richey took care of business at #3 singles defeating Merieke Hooker, 6-3, 6-1 while Ella Mangene and Remi Hayward needed a tiebreaker to win the second set but ultimately won 6-4, 7-6(3).
North Allegheny falls to 13-3 overall. Shady Side Academy improves to 13-0. The Tigers are back in action tomorrow when they travel to Franklin Regional High School to take on the Panthers at 3:30 p.m.
