North Allegheny Rowing sent two boats to compete at the 2026 Scholastic Rowing Association of America (SRAA) National Championship Regatta in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, one of the premier high school rowing events in North America. Crews from across the country qualified through regional championship regattas to compete for national titles.

Oak Ridge provided ideal racing conditions throughout the weekend, with flat water, warm temperatures, and scattered showers setting the stage for strong competition.

The Tigers’ first crew to race was the Girls Junior 4x of Lydia Humphrey, Ananya Doizhode, Lucy Hughes, and Jocelyn Munroe. After sitting in sixth place at the halfway point of their opening heat, North Allegheny mounted an aggressive late push over the final 750 meters. The Tigers crossed the line in fourth place, securing a spot in Saturday’s semifinal race with a nail biting finish.

In the semifinal, the crew faced another highly competitive field and ultimately finished sixth, missing a place in the grand final. The Girls Junior 4x closed the weekend ranked 11th nationally, an impressive finish for this crew.

North Allegheny’s second entry, the Boys Senior 4x of Neil Pore, Alex Repinski, Christian Sperandeo, and Cooper Lemon, followed with a strong showing of their own. Racing in a loaded heat, the Tigers put together a composed and physical race to finish third, missing qualification for the grand final by one position.

The boys finished the regatta ranked 10th in the nation, capping off a consistent and successful season for the senior crew.

The national championship also marked the end of scholastic competition for Pore, Repinski, Sperandeo, and Lemon. Over the past several seasons, the quartet developed into one of the program’s strongest senior boats, combining speed, experience, and leadership on and off the water.

With both crews earning top-11 national finishes, North Allegheny once again proved it can compete with the country’s top scholastic rowing programs while continuing to build momentum for the future.
