Sarah Schupansky Earns All-ACC Second Team Soccer Laurels

Former North Allegheny girls’ soccer captain and current Pitt women’s soccer player Sarah Schupansky has earned All-ACC accolades for the second time at the collegiate level. On Wednesday the Atlantic Coast Conference announced their all-conference teams for the 2024 season. Schupansky garnered All-ACC second-team honors after making the first team during the 2023 season. She was the first Panther to make the All-ACC First Team in program history last season.

The NA grad leads the NCAA in assists (15) and assists per game (0.83), while also ranking 19th in the country with 29 points (7 goals / 15 assists) and 22nd in points per game (1.61). She leads the ACC and ranks 12th in the NCAA in shots on goal per game (2.33) and is 14th in the nation in shots per game (4.22).

Schupansky matched a program record with four assists in a 6-1 win over Dartmouth and became the second player in Pitt history to record 100 career points during the 7-0 win over Mercyhurst.

She recorded two assists in Pitt’s win over Syracuse to set the school single-season assists record (15). Schupansky has five multi-assist games on the season and has tallied two or more points in a game eight times in 2024.

She set the program record for career starts (78) in the regular season finale at Notre Dame. She also set the school record for career assists (43) and will finish her Pitt career ranked second in career points, shots, and shots on goal.

With 60 career goals, Sarah led the Tigers to their two best seasons in program history. In 2019, Schupansky netted a team-best 23 goals and directed NA to its first WPIAL crown. As an encore, Schupansky scored 24 goals in just 16 games in 2020 and helped pave the way for a second straight WPIAL title and NA’s first-ever appearance in the PIAA championship game in Hershey.

She was honored as the recipient of the 2020 Moe Rosensteel Player of the Year Award, which is given to the top girls’ soccer player in Western Pennsylvania.

She was named all-state by the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association for two consecutive years, was a United Soccer Coaches High School All-American her senior year.
