Tigers bounce Blue Devils
North Allegheny hosted the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils on Tuesday afternoon in a non-section showdown. The Tigers came in sweeping their last five matches. This one was a lot closer but NA still came away with the 3-2 victory.
Alexa Richey defeated Allie Garcia at #3 singles by a score of 6-3, 6-0. Audrey Zheng and Rouxi Bai dropped the first set but stormed back for the 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 victory at #1 doubles while Ella Mangene and Remi Hayward were tested but ultimately won 7-5, 7-5.
North Allegheny improves to 9-2 overall. Mt. Lebanon falls to 5-3. Some of the Tigers will be back in action tomorrow as they will play in the Section 2-3A Singles tournament that will be held at North Allegheny High School tennis courts tomorrow and Thursday. Tomorrow will begin at 12 p.m.
