Tigers continue win streak with 5-0 sweep of Butler
North Allegheny traveled to Butler High School on Friday afternoon to take on the Golden Tornado. After the match was moved back a day due to rain, the Tigers were able to keep their momentum going sweeping Butler, 5-0.
Mia Kaufman and Sam Leeman both dominated their singles matches with wins of 6-0, 6-0. Alexa Richey defeated Lindsey Lipp in #3 singles by a score of 6-0, 6-2.
The doubles teams only dropped one game combined as Audrey Zheng and Rouxi Bai won at #1 doubles by a score of 6-0, 6-0 while Ella Mangene and Remi Hayward posted a 6-1, 6-0 win at #2 doubles.
North Allegheny improves to 7-2 overall and 4-0 in the section. Butler falls to 4-2 overall and 1-2 in section play. The Tigers return to action on Monday when they travel to Shaler High School to take on the Titans in another section matchup at 3:30 p.m.
