After losing the first two games of a three-game homestand, and their first two home games of the season, the Tigers might have been a bit ornery coming into a non-section matchup against Sewickley Academy. North Allegheny blitzed the Panthers early, built a big lead and coasted to
a 16-3 victory at Newman Stadium.

Less than a minute into the game, North Allegheny had a 2-0 lead. Reagan Riordan won the opening draw, and 19 seconds later, Addi Sisinni scored. After the Tigers won the next draw, Sewickley  Academy was attempting a clear when the ball fell out of a basket and across the line for an own goal and a two-goal lead just forty-five seconds into the contest.

That lead would balloon to 7-0 just over halfway through the first quarter.

Gracie Lynch scored her eighth of the year, followed by Sarah Harlan 10 seconds later for a 4-0 lead. Sisinni took a pass from Sarah Donaldson and netted her second of the game. Riordan set up Maddie Hudec for her third goal of the season, then Readon scored of a Harlan assist for a 7-0 first-quarter lead.

North Allegheny added five second-quarter goals, triggering a running clock and a 12-0 lead at intermission. Sisinni completed her second hat trick of the season. Riordan scored on a free possession, Donaldson converted a Sissini feed from below the goal for her sixth of the year and a ten-goal lead. Sisinni added her fourth goal of the night before Dani Crawford set up Addison Burns, the first career goal for the multi-time field hockey all-star.

Sewickley Academy broke the shutout with the first two goals of the third quarter. Emma Eannarino scored, followed by freshman Charlotte Morton to make it a 12-2 game.

Riordan celebrated her birthday with a hat trick goal, her 22nd marker of the year. The senior has scored multiple goals in four of the five games she has played this season.

The senior Eannarino scored her second goal before Sisinni continued her big night with her fifth goal of the game.

Krista Wheeler’s second goal of the season and Harlan’s second of the night and 14th of the year were the only goals of the fourth quarter, as the Tigers celebrated Youth Night with a 16-3 win.

Senior Fiola Ragan earned the win in net for North Allegheny (2-5), as the Tigers snapped a four-game losing streak. Freshman Hannah Eyerman made a save in the 4th quarter in relief of Ragan, who made multiple saves in the second and third quarters, and played the field on
offense in the final frame.

The Wright Automotive Player of the Game went to junior Addi Sisinni, who finished with a career high five goal game and six points. Sisinni ran her season total to 8 goals.

North Allegheny will get to enjoy the victory over an extended Easter break, as the Tigers will not play again until they visit Allderdice on April 13th, before returning to section action when they visit Shady Side Academy later that week.
