Tigers pull out close victory over Fox Chapel
North Allegheny hosted Fox Chapel at the North Allegheny High School tennis courts on Wednesday afternoon. It was a close contest but the Tigers picked up their first victory of the season defeating the Foxes, 3-2.
Alexa Richey was the lone singles winner picking up a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Fox Chapel’s Eloise Johnson. The doubles teams continued to impress as Audrey Zheng and Ruoxi Bai defeated Fox Chapel’s #1 doubles team by a score of 6-1, 6-3, while Ella Mangene and Remi Hayward won 6-0, 6-4 over the Foxes second doubles team.
With the win, North Allegheny improves to 1-2 overall. Fox Chapel falls to 0-2 overall. The Tigers are right back on the court today as they host Peters Township at 3:30 p.m. in another non-section match.
