Tigers sweep Seneca Valley to win 10th straight
North Allegheny hosted the Seneca Valley Raiders on Monday afternoon in a section contest. After starting 0-2, the Tigers have now won 10 in a row with a 5-0 victory over the Raiders.
In singles, Mia Kaufman defeated Payton Godleski in #1 singles, 6-0, 6-2. Samantha Leeman took down Monique Polas at #2 singles, 6-2, 6-1 and Alexa Richey handled Ella Marley, 6-2, 6-2 in #3 singles.
The doubles teams continued their impressive seasons with Audrey Zheng and Rouxi Bai taking down the Raiders #1 doubles teams by scores of 6-2, 6-0. The #2 doubles team of Ella Mangene and Remi Hayward won their match against Alivia Metz and Mogen Culley, 6-0, 6-1.
North Allegheny improves to 10-2 overall and 6-0 in the section. Seneca Valley falls to 2-6 overall and 1-4 in section play. On Wednesday, Mia Kaufman will compete at the WPIAL Singles tournament at Bethel Park High School. The Tigers as a team will return to action on Friday when they host Pine-Richland at 3:30 p.m.
