NA OVERPOWERS FIELD IN ALL-AMERICAN INVITATIONAL

The North Allegheny Swimming Team decimated their competition at the All-American High School Invitational Swim Meet, with both the boys and the girls capturing team titles over the weekend.  The Lady Tigers scored 727, almost 250 points above second-place Radnor High School, while the boys had 784, 388 above second-place Radnor.

The Lady Tigers took all but four events, including relays, and placed multiple swimmers in the two-heat finals.  For the 200 Medley Relay, the team of Torie Buerger, Olivia Kisow, Ella Ogden and Olivia Kraus got the win during finals.The winning 200 Free Relay Team was composed of Molly Smyers, Quinn Frost, Lexi Sundgren and Ogden.  The top 400 Free Relay team was made up of Smyers, Sundgren, Kisow and Buerger.  The top point finishers are the following: Buerger (won 200 IM and 100 Back), Smyers (took 1st in 200 Free and 500 Free), Sundgren (2nd in 200 Free and 3rd in 100 Free), Kisow (3rd in both the 200 IM and 100 Breast), Ogden (2nd in 100 Fly and 4th in 100 Free) and  Lily Courville (4th in 200 IM and 3rd in 500 Free).

The NA Boys got all but one event, including relays, and had multiple swimmers as well in the finals.  The 200 Medley Relay team of Ethan Song, Jacob McCarran, Branko Kosanovich and Alex Grahor took first.  For the winning 200 Free Relay, the team was made up of Josh Galecki, Rick Mihm, McCarran and Kosanovich.  The team of Galecki, Timothy Compton, Grahor and Mihm touched first for the 400 Free Relay. The top point finishers for the boys are the following: Grahor (1st in the 50 Free and 100 Breast), Kosanovich (1st in 100 Fly and 100 Free), Mihm (1st in 200 IM and 500 Free), Galecki (1st in 200 Free and 2nd in 100 Free), McCarran (3rd in 50 Free and 2nd in 100 Breast) and Audric Pastor (2nd in 100 Fly and 3rd in 100 Breast).

The next meet will be at Butler on Wednesday, January 15.  The meet starts with diving at 6 p.m.
