Tigers Complete Dominant First Week With Sweep Of Fox Chapel
After prevailing in a very tight match last year over Fox Chapel, this time around the Tigers rolled to victory in decisive fashion.
Fantastic freshman Advaita Sircar overwhelmed his opponent at first singles to win 6-0, 6-0 for the third straight match. Sensational senior Trey Davidson was nearly as dominant at third singles ripping off a 6-1, 6-1 victory. Sophomore star Evan Kaufman kept pace at second singles by dismantling his opponent by an identical 6-1, 6-1 score.
Sophomore Adhav Ramadas once again paired with his older brother, senior Adithya Ramadas Guptha to get off to a hot start and cruise to a 6-0, 7-5 win at second doubles. To clinch the Tigers fourth straight sweep, senior Amit Bhandari and sunior Sri Thirumala proved to be a winning combination at first doubles, winning 6-4, 6-3.
With the first week of matches in the book, the Tigers are 4-0 and have one every match 5-0 to remain perfect on the young season.
Up next, the team travels down Route 19 to visit long-time foe, North Hills on Tuesday. Match time is scheduled for 3:30 PM.
