Blue Devils Clip Tigers In Section Meeting

North Allegheny field hockey hit the road Friday afternoon for a matchup with Mt. Lebanon. The Blue Devils came up with the 2-1 victory.

Mt. Lebo found the first goal of the game in the opening quarter. Aubrey Better scored off a corner with just over two minutes left in the frame.

North Allegheny responded to tie the match in the second stanza. With just under three minutes left in the half, the Tigers cashed in on a corner of their own from sophomore Giana Gross.

The Blue Devils broke the tie in the fourth quarter courtesy of a goal by Maggie Vines with just over a minute left in the game.

Junior Grace Zahorchak made three saves in the net for NA.

With the loss, North Allegheny is now 2-4-3 and 2-2-1 in Section 1-AAA. The Tigers are back home next Tuesday against Hempfield for Middle School & Youth Appreciation Night, in a game that will be carried on the North Allegheny Sports Network.
