Emi Barreiro Named 3A WPIAL Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Year

North Allegheny Field Hockey senior Emi Barreiro picked up another postseason accolade this week.
Barreiro was named WPIAL 3A Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Year by the WPIAL Field Hockey Coaches Association.

This news comes a week after Barreiro was named to the All-WPIAL and All-Star Teams in the 3A classification. The senior made the All-Star team for the second year in a row, while attaining All-WPIAL status for the first time.
The Tigers reached the WPIAL Championship this season, finishing runners-up to Pine-Richland.
