NA finishes regular season unbeaten with sweep of North Hills
North Allegheny swimming & diving took on the North Hills Indians in a split meet on Thursday afternoon. The diving took place at the NASH Pool while the swimming events happened at North Hills High School. The Tigers finished the regular season undefeated in dual meets as the girls won by a score of 105-72 while the boys claimed a 98-74 victory.
At North Allegheny, Maggie Lapina (267.20) and Leah Maiolo (197.00) were the top two finishers on the girls side for diving while Ethan Maravich (275.35) and Anthony Farrah (258.60) placed in the top two spots on the boys side.
North Allegheny took the top three spots in both 200-yard medley relays. On the girls side, Dani Hinkson, Tori Tieppo, Evey Masztak and Sydney DeHainaut (1:50.68) were the top finishers while Brendan Yatchenko, Danny Lesinski, Zachary Totin and Nate Hilbert (1:40.77) claimed the top spot on the boys side.
The Tigers were top three in both the girls and boys 200 free. Kate Dudro (1:58.22), Charlotte Sunderlin (2:01.46) and Natalie Reubi (2:04.88) for the girls while Dylan Seiford (1:49.30), Alex Harbaugh (1:52.30) and Talon Xing (1:52.55) were the top finisher for the boys.
In the 200 IM, Shelby Sundgren (2:13.24), Emma Dietz (2:13.99) and Coco Wood (2:25.95) finished one through three for the girls while Xing (2:03.61), Harbaugh (2:03.98) and Seiford (2:07.80) claimed the top three spots for the boys.
Madden Woycheck (24.34) and Eva Zilinski (26.68) finished first and third in the girls 50 free while Mason Shantz (21.90) and Landon Bolen (23.99) finished first and third for the boys.
In the 100 butterfly, Eva Ogden (56.05), Hinkson (56.49) and Masztak (1:02.22) were the top finishers for the girls. Lesinski (50.71), Peter Ross (55.10) and Matthew Lindblad (55.92) finished top three for the boys.
Annie Elliot (54.27) and DeHainaut (55.06) finished top two for the girls in the 100 free while Jackson Ross (49.79), Max Thirkell (50.97) and Ryan Crane (55.49) finished top three for the boys.
Julia Tengowski (5:14.32) led the way in the 500 free for the girls while Claire Bacu (5:15.45) finished second. On the boys side, Logan O’Keefe (4:54.24), Bolen (5:06.31) and Adam Quinet (5:13.34) claimed the top three spots.
The girls 200-yard freestyle relay teams finished first and second with Quinet, Masztak, Reubi and Hinkson claiming the top spot with a time of 1:42.46.

Girls 400-yard freestyle relay: Angelina Li, Dudro, Dietz, Ogden (3:51.68)
Boys 400-yard freestyle relay: Xing, Yatchenko, Chu, Crane (3:26.79)

Up next for the Tigers will be the Last Ditch Invitational held at NASH Pool on Saturday beginning at 5 p.m. After that, North Allegheny will prepare for the WPIAL Diving Championships on February 21 and the WPIAL Swimming Championships on February 27.
